DARTS

ABOUT THE GAME
In DARTS, the player throws darts on the darts board (three at a time) subtracting all points scored from the beginning score, trying to reach exactly zero. This version of the game plays the 301 and 501 versions of the game. It can be played solo or by 2 players one against the other on the same TV set.
The object of the game is to reduce the score to zero. Each player starts with the same score (501, for example) and the first to reduce the score to zero wins.
Head to Head games can be played in sets of 1, 3, or 5 game rounds. In Head to Head games with 3 or 5 rounds the winner is the player that is the best out of the 3 or 5 rounds respectively.

GAME RULES

  • To win, you must reach zero before your opponent, but you must also reach exactly zero, and the dart that brings the score down to zero must be a double.
  • Darts thrown in the outer ring count double the point value of that segment.
  • Darts thrown in the inner ring count triple the point value of that segment.
  • Darts thrown in the bulls-eye count 50 points (and considered a double of 25 for last throw).
  • Darts thrown in the ring around the bulls-eye count 25 points.
  • If the player scores more than the exact score needed, the whole turn of three darts does not count, and the player's score remains as it was before that turn was taken. This is called a Bust.

CONTROLS

  • At your turn, you should throw your darts (3 darts per turn). To do so, press the SELECT key to stop the crosshair round movement (counter clockwise).
  • The crosshair will now be set to the selected location on the round axis and start movement from that point in a radius axis. Press the SELECT key again to stop the crosshair and throw the dart to that position.
  • Your status will update on the board after each throw. Once you complete your turn (3 darts thrown) the turn moves to your opponent.
  • The first player to reduce his score to zero wins the game.
