Goal! is a penalty shoot out game that tests your skill and nerves.
This version of the game includes two different game modes: 1 Player and 2 Players.
In 1 Player Mode – The player aims to score the target number of goals in each of the 3-minute rounds. An unlimited number of rounds may be played. The number of target goals increases as you advance from round to round. Failure to meet a specific round's target number of goals will end the game.
In 2 Players Mode - Your aim is to score more goals than your opponent within a 30-second time limit per kick (if you fail to kick in time you will forfeit the penalty and register a miss). Both players have a chance at 5 penalties. The player who scores the most goals wins. If the scores are tied after 5 kicks then the game enters a knockout mode. Each player kicks in turns. The first player to score a goal after an equal number of penalties kicks wins the game.
HOW TO PLAY
To perform a penalty kick, follow these 3 easy steps:
Step 1: Decide where you want to kick by moving the onscreen target around the goal (using the arrow keys). Set the Aiming Target using the SELECT key. Note that the farther you move the target away from the center, the greater your chances to score a goal.
Step 2: Set your power level. Stop the moving red ball as close to the center of the cross for maximum power using the SELECT key.
Step 3: Set your accuracy. Stop the moving yellow ball as close to the center of the cross for optimum accuracy, using the SELECT key.
Your striker will now take your penalty.
The more power you put into a kick the more likely you are to score, but it is more difficult to achieve maximum accuracy because the accuracy ball moves quicker.
SCORE
Your score is an accumulation of the goals you have achieved throughout a game.
When you choose to load a saved game, the game will be resumed either from the start of your last uncompleted kick or from the beginning of the next kick, depending on your exit point. All game information will be displayed accordingly.
