WPT OVERVIEW
Texas Hold ‘Em is one of the most popular forms of poker in the world today with the WPT TV show gaining vast popularity.
The WPT iTV channel features a Texas Hold ‘Em walkthrough tutorial, a “season” of unlimited WPT tournament games, and an intense one-hour WPT Tournament game.
Both the Season and the Timed game modes come with a wide variety of statistics to help rate your playing skills.

THE WPT SEASON GAME
The WPT game simulates a multi-level poker championship, played against players with artificial intelligence, the strongest of which are generally set to resemble the playing style of professional WPT players from the WPT show.
The game is composed of 12 “unlimited” episodes (or levels) of increasing difficulty, followed by endless top-level post-season episodes.
In each level, the 6 players start the game with identical sums of money. As in real WPT tournaments, the game is played until only one player remains.
To win the game you have to work your way to the top casinos and win several games played against poker pros.
You start playing against less skilled players, and as you prove yourself you earn the title of poker pro, and you are invited to play against fellow pros in casinos around the world.
Once you defeat the top players on the 12th episode and win $1,000,000 (play money), you are crowned a poker champion, and can continue playing in the closed-circle champion matches.

THE WPT TIMED GAME
The WPT Timed game is played exactly like the WPT Season game, except that there is a game time limit of one hour. When the time is up, the score is calculated based on the number of levels the player has completed (if any), and the current amount of money at the table.
The game cannot be saved during this mode.

TEXAS HOLD ‘EM BASIC RULES
In Texas Hold ‘Em, players get two private cards (“Hole cards”), and five community cards are shown in the middle of the screen. Your hand is the best five-card combination that can be created from those seven cards. There are four betting rounds in Hold ‘Em – with unlimited bets and raises. The highest ranking hand remaining in the game wins the pot.
To continue playing after each betting round, you must at least equalize your bet to those of the other players (unless you are already "all-in"). Turns always proceed in a clockwise rotation.

BASIC GAME PROCEDURE:
1. To start the action - two Blinds (the Small Blind and the Big Blind) are placed in the pot prior to dealing the cards, by the two players to the immediate left of the dealer (indicated by the yellow Dealer Button).
2. Two cards are then dealt to all players. The first betting round begins with the player to the left of the Big Blind. This player must decide whether to fold, raise or call. The round continues with all players deciding what to do.
3. After the first betting round, the dealer deals three community cards (known as "The Flop"). Then the second betting round is played. In this round players can also “check” if other players have already placed bets. From this round on, the player to the left of the Dealer Button plays first.
4. After the “Flop”, the dealer reveals the fourth card ("The Turn" or "Fourth Street").
5. After the "Turn" is completed, the dealer deals the last card (known as "The River" or "Fifth Street"). This is the final betting round.
6. Upon completion of the fourth betting round, all remaining players (that have not folded) compare their hands. The highest ranking hand wins the pot.

HAND RANKING
Poker is played with a standard 52-card deck. The deck is divided to 4 suits:

Hearts

Clubs

Spades

Diamonds

A poker hand consists of five cards. From highest to lowest, cards rank as follows: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
Note that to form a straight or a straight flush, aces can be considered lower than 2s. Aces, however, cannot be considered as lowest and highest in the same hand.
This means that a K-A-2-3-4 is not a straight.
Poker hands rank as follows, from highest to lowest:

The Royal Flush: Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace of the same suit (the highest possible Straight Flush:

Straight Flush: Straight with all five cards of the same suit:

Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same number or face value ("quads"):

Full House: Three cards of one number or face value and two cards of another number or face value. If more than one player has a Full House, the Full House with the highest ranking Three of a Kind ("Trips" or “Sets”) wins:

Flush: Five cards of the same suit. If there is more than one flush, the hand with the highest card(s) wins:

Straight: Five cards in sequence. Cards can be of any suit. An Ace can be used in the highest Straight (10, J, Q, K, A) and the lowest Straight (A, 2, 3, 4, 5):

Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same number or face value ("Trips"):

Two Pair: Two sets of pairs, of the same value. If two players have Two Pair, the hand with the highest Pair wins. If they have the same high Pair, the player with the second highest Pair wins. If they have the same Two Pair, whoever has the highest fifth card ("Kicker") wins:

Pair: Two cards of the same number or face value. If two players have the same Pair, the highest outside card(s) wins:

High Card (or Nothing): Any hand not meeting the requirements of a Pair or higher hand:
General rules:
A higher ranking hand always beats a hand of lower rank. Thus, even though Aces and Kings are the highest cards, the hand 2-2-2-2-3 beats a hand of A-A-A-K-K because Four of a Kind is always higher than a Full House.
In the Showdown, two identical hands split the pot equally.

SAVING THE GAME
When you save a game, you will be able to resume playing from the next hand played at the same table. Any hand in progress when saving the game will be folded.
